  1. Foot lengthWearing the socks you plan to wear, stand with your weight on both feet and your heel against a wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe (not always the big toe) and measure from the wall to the mark. Measure both feet and use the longer one.

  2. Foot widthStanding with your weight on both feet, measure straight across the widest part of your foot, usually the ball. Use the wider foot.

Measure late in the day, when feet are at their largest.

Overview

Material and construction

The upper is black goat leather with a fine natural grain. The shaft carries rows of brown decorative stitching in a scrolled pattern, and a tan lining shows at the pull tabs and top line. The heel is finished in dark brown against a black sole, and the welt follows the narrow line of the toe. Each pair is made to order by LCW.

Styling

Let the stitched shaft show with jeans tucked in or rolled, or wear bootcut denim over the top for a cleaner line. Black with brown stitching pairs naturally with dark denim, a brown leather belt and a pearl-snap shirt, and it holds its own with grey trousers and a dark blazer.
