  1. HandWith your hand flat and fingers together, measure around your hand across the knuckles, leaving out the thumb.

  2. Hand lengthMeasure from the crease where your palm meets your wrist to the tip of your middle finger.

Measure over light clothing, keeping the tape snug but not tight.

Overview

Material and construction

Made from green leather with a natural pebbled grain, stitched in a light green thread that follows the curve of the hand. The thumb carries an extra leather overlay, and the back of the cuff is finished with a dark brown panel and a round embossed patch. The tassel hangs from a leather strip with a tan keeper and fastens with a metal snap, so it can be taken off. Check the safety requirements for your work or riding before use.

Use

Designed for falconry and hawking, worn on the hand that carries the bird. Tie the leash to the D-ring when the bird is on the fist. The tassel is a traditional finishing touch that also gives you something to grab when pulling the glove off. It also suits bird handling at displays and demonstrations.
