  1. Foot lengthWearing the socks you plan to wear, stand with your weight on both feet and your heel against a wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe (not always the big toe) and measure from the wall to the mark. Measure both feet and use the longer one.

  2. Foot widthStanding with your weight on both feet, measure straight across the widest part of your foot, usually the ball. Use the wider foot.

Measure late in the day, when feet are at their largest.

Overview

Material and construction

The upper is black leather with a matte, softly textured finish, stitched in tonal thread so nothing breaks up the black. The lug sole is black as well, keeping the boot one color from collar to tread. A stitched seam runs up the back of the heel, and the collar is padded for a softer finish at the top.

Styling

Wear them with black jeans and a denim jacket, or with a knit dress and chunky socks peeking over the collar. Try them with a tailored coat and straight trousers for a sharper contrast. The all-black finish keeps the heavy sole looking streamlined.
