How to measure

  1. Foot lengthWearing the socks you plan to wear, stand with your weight on both feet and your heel against a wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe (not always the big toe) and measure from the wall to the mark. Measure both feet and use the longer one.

  2. Foot widthStanding with your weight on both feet, measure straight across the widest part of your foot, usually the ball. Use the wider foot.

Measure late in the day, when feet are at their largest.

Overview

Material and construction

The upper is smooth black leather with a soft shine, lined with shearling. The black lug platform sole is thick and deeply treaded, and the zip runs along the inside of the shaft beside the lacing. The laces run from the toe to the top of the shaft, and a slim cord wraps the shaft as an extra detail at the ankle.

Styling

Wear them with straight jeans and a long wool coat, or with a knit dress and thick tights. They also toughen up a pleated skirt or a slip dress. The all-black finish keeps the chunky sole looking sleek rather than heavy.
