  1. Foot lengthWearing the socks you plan to wear, stand with your weight on both feet and your heel against a wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe (not always the big toe) and measure from the wall to the mark. Measure both feet and use the longer one.

  2. Foot widthStanding with your weight on both feet, measure straight across the widest part of your foot, usually the ball. Use the wider foot.

Measure late in the day, when feet are at their largest.

Material and construction

The upper is black leather with a smooth, low-shine finish. The moc toe is formed by a raised apron stitched to the vamp, and tonal stitching joins the quarters and the heel counter. The boot sits on a thick black lug sole with a stitched edge, so the profile stays sturdy from every angle.

Styling

The all-black finish works with black or raw denim, dark cargo trousers and a leather or waxed jacket. It also dresses down a wool coat, and the single tone keeps the chunky sole looking clean rather than heavy. For a smarter take, try them with charcoal flannel trousers and a navy peacoat.
