Overview

Material and construction

The exterior is leather, cut and stitched around an aluminum inner tube that gives the case its shape. Both ends are finished with round leather caps joined by visible perimeter stitching, and the top cap lifts away to reveal the metal rim of the tube. Each tube is made to order by LCW.

Use

Slide in a rod before a drive to the river or a flight to a fishing trip, and the rigid core helps keep it straight among bags and other gear. At home, it stores the rod upright in a corner or flat on a shelf.

Care

Wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth after each trip and let it dry naturally away from direct heat if it gets wet. Condition the leather occasionally to keep it supple.
